Summary
Placing data integrity at the forefront of wearable tech
Healthcare is fundamentally shifting to be more patient-centric. Clinical trials are the start of this transformation.
With this patient-centric approach increasing in focus, we can assume that the use of wearable technology to measure and assess medicinal responsiveness will become more widely used.
As this technology becomes more prevalent, I think it's likely (and almost, inevitable) that rules and regulations will be extended or created to include this medium. Because as long as there is data being captured, that data must be treated and retained appropriately. It must be handled with care.
At Arkivum, we fully recommend that if you are capturing and collecting sensitive data that you consider how you are managing that data. It may be that the ALCOA principles are the ideal place for your organisation to begin with?
Or perhaps your current method of data archival doesn't tick all of the integrity boxes from the regulations?
Wherever you are in your data management journey, we hope this eBook has been insightful.
